I keep waiting for the pain. After pushing on last Sunday's sprint triathlon, I've been waiting for my hip to start hurting and it really only did after this week's workouts but even then not too bad. I'm starting to feel hopeful but don't want to get too jazzed just yet. This week was full of light workouts and anniversary fun.
Monday was a rest day and a day well spent as I felt generally sore from Sunday. Tuesday I went for a 3 mile run in 28:53. It felt great to move my legs and loosen them up. After looking at the professional photos from the race, I realized I need to work on my posture while running so, I spent these 3 miles thinking of elongating my spine.
Friday I finally made it out to the pool and had a fabulous swim! I swam 2,300 meters in 50 minutes with an average of 1'53 per 100 meters. I'm learning that some drill workouts are better than others, I definitely prefer high reps of short distances over fewer reps for long distances, it breaks up the monotony.
